Overview

Morning! is a browser extension for Chrome and Edge that schedules a wellness break, a walk or a hydrate reminder, and shows a countdown or nudge when it's time.

It is built so that all of your data stays on your own device, under your control. That is a deliberate data-sovereignty stance, not an afterthought: the extension makes no network requests at runtime, with no analytics, telemetry, tracking, or third-party services.

Data we do not collect

The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

Personal information of any kind
The content of pages you visit (it never reads, modifies, or transmits them)
Analytics, usage tracking, or telemetry
Cookies, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting

There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no identifier. Nothing leaves your device.

What the extension stores

When you schedule a break, Morning! saves a few details locally so it can open your countdown or reminder at the right moment:

the task you chose (for example, walk or hydrate),
the duration, for timed tasks,
whether it repeats daily,
the time the alarm should fire.

This is stored only in your browser's local extension storage on your device. It is never uploaded, synced, or sent to any server or cloud account. One-time tasks are deleted automatically after they fire; recurring tasks are kept until you remove them.

Permissions used

The extension requests only the permissions it needs to do that one job:

alarms: fires your scheduled break at the chosen time.
storage: remembers your scheduled tasks locally on your device.
tabs: opens the countdown or reminder page and closes it when finished.

None of these grant access to your browsing history or the content of the pages you visit. The extension uses no remote code; all of its logic is bundled in the extension and runs entirely within your browser.

Your control over your data

You can remove a scheduled task at any time from within the extension.
Uninstalling the extension deletes all data Morning! has stored on your device.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy is ever updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
